4 Real by Clinker

Here's the Unlucky Fried Kitten song called 4 REAL...which is a tribute to Richey Edwards....the wantaway Manic Street Preacher. This particular version is by psychedelic london band...CLINKER...led by the enigmatic Peter Jordan. The song was written as a tribute to Richey by Andy Export of pop band UNLUCKY FRIED KITTEN. Please look out for their original version of the song on this YouTube channel...though Andy has publicly declared that 'Clinker's fucking re-imagination of the song is better than mine'
The song was written originally for Mickey Apples (ex UFK bassist) to sing on his Dead Pop Stars album...along with songs for the likes of Keith Moon, Kurt Cobain, Syd Barrett, Elvis Presley, Marc Bolan, Jimi Hendrix...and more....but Mickey tragically took his life before the album was completed. Andy has vowed to finish the Dead Pop Stars album in the memory of his ex bandmate..and friend. Mickey's bass guitar takes pride of place in the UFK Dollshouse (museum section)...with the blessing of Mickey's family.
The two versions of this 4 REAL song...by UFK and by Clinker...are poles apart...which is rather cool really. Check more of CLINKER out on YouTube...and on the net in general. They have some fantastic sounds.
Check Unlucky Fried Kitten....they have some rather jolly songs too.
Have a wonderful day. lol

Getting My Own Back (on you) by Porlie Eidolon

Here's a UFK song covered by the ineffable Porlie Eidolon...Medway photo-shooter and all-round artist. The song is Getting My Own Back (on you)...original UFK version from the Squaring The Head ep. The two versions...UFK's and Porlie's...could not be more different. UFK do snarling punk...Porlie does atmospheric tangent-liberalism. It's a wonderful addition to the UFK covers blog.

I WANT 2 B WIV U (domino n philodox / unlucky fried kitten)

This is a cover of an Unlucky Fried Kitten song called I WANT 2 B WIV U.
Andy Fraser, of Unlucky Fried Kitten played the song on acoustic guitar on a Radio Kent interview in 1987. It's the only time the song was ever played in public (other than the Bligh's Bargain Bookstore gig of 2000) and when Domino N Philodox heard the interview....23 years later...he decided to make a cover of the song. Here it is then. Written by Andy Fraser aka Andy Export
Guitars and recording and vocals by Domino N Philodox.
